We were grateful to welcome Milwaukee County Executive and gubernatorial candidate David Crowley to Bread of Healing Clinic.
His visit gave our staff, volunteers, students, and interns an opportunity to share what we’re seeing and hearing every day from our patients and community—including the challenges facing uninsured and underinsured individuals and the broader state of healthcare access.
We also appreciated the opportunity to hear his vision and priorities for Wisconsin.
As a community health clinic, our role is not political—it’s to care, to listen, and to advocate for the health and well-being of the people we serve. We welcome opportunities to engage with elected officials and community leaders across the political spectrum because, regardless of who holds office, we believe those making decisions about healthcare should hear directly from the people on the front lines of care.
